Breathwork seems to be the best kept secret as it relates to the powerful healing it promotes physically, spiritually, and emotionally.
Our breath is one of the only autonomic bodily functions that we can impact, and by using the breath we can either up-regulate (increase the pace) or down-regulate (decrease the pace) of our central nervous system function. Our nervous system is where we are storing energy from previous traumas, current daily stress, old injuries, and uncompleted cycles of fight or flight that are causing chaos and disregulation inside of the body, mind, and soul.
Breathwork allows for deep communication with our bodies, and puts us in a position to really hear what it is our bodies are asking of us. Only then can we begin to give ourselves what we really need.
In this way, we are the medicine. We just have to listen. This practice does take practice, and the further we are willing to go, the deeper the medicine becomes.
The human body has a number of different systems and functions. The ones we most commonly know about are:
- The nervous system (mood regulator)
- Endocrine and exocrine system (hormone regulator)
- Musculoskeletal system (movement).
- Circulatory system (flow of energy)
- Digestive system.
- Immune/lymphatic system (proper excretion & detoxification)
- Respiratory system (breathing).
- Cardiovascular system (heart rate variability & blood pressure)
- Reproductive system.
Every single one of these systems is influenced and affected by our breathing!
What can Breathwork offer you?
- The ability to reduce stress and anxiety.
- The opportunity to regulate your own nervous system.

- Opening into expanded awareness and potential.
- Energising or calming the body.
- Detoxification of the body.
- Inner peace and stillness.
- Increased energy and focus.

From gentle deep breaths to dynamic activating breaths, breathwork changes our brainwaves state which affects the physiology in your body. Creating these changes creates an open door for you to pursue the change you are seeking in your life.
The only way out is through, and the only way through is in. The sooner you get started, the sooner you’ll be able to ask yourself- why did I wait so long?
The breath is our oldest friend, schedule a session with me today and let’s see what is has to say.
