All offerings at Althea Somatic Therapy are grounded in nervous system support, embodiment, and consent-based care. While the modalities may look different, each session is responsive to what’s present for you. You don’t need to know exactly what you need to begin — many clients start with one offering and allow the work to evolve over time.
Breathwork sessions use guided breathing to support emotional processing, regulation, and connection. Sessions are held in a supportive, paced environment and are accessible for all levels of experience.
These sessions focus on working directly with the body to support regulation, release stored tension, and build embodied awareness. The emphasis is on sensation and presence rather than story or analysis.
Integration sessions support the grounding and meaning-making of non-ordinary or emotionally impactful experiences, helping insights become sustainable and embodied in daily life.
In some sessions, optional ritual or energetic supports may be offered to support grounding, intention, or integration. These may include practices such as cacao, smudging, gentle energetic tools (e.g., feather fan or crystals), or other supportive elements.
These offerings are always optional, consent-based, and used sparingly.
Breathwork and somatic work remain the foundation of sessions, and your experience is complete without any ritual components.
Many clients don’t know which offering is right for them — and that’s okay. Most new clients start with a 4-session container. Sessions are responsive and evolve as we go.
