I’m a trauma-informed somatic practitioner, integration coach, breathwork facilitator, and transpersonal therapist in training based in Longmont, Colorado.
I believe meaningful healing happens through connection: with ourselves, our bodies, our stories, our communities, and the parts of us that have been forgotten, wounded, protected, or left behind.
My work sits at the intersection of body, psyche, relationship, and meaning. Rather than focusing solely on symptoms or insight, I support people in reconnecting with themselves. Healing isn’t about becoming someone new- it’s about coming home to yourself.
I am deeply influenced by the African philosophy of Ubuntu: “I am because we are.” Healing does not happen in isolation. We grow, transform, and come home to ourselves through relationship- with others, with the natural world, and with the deeper wisdom that lives in us.
I support individuals navigating trauma, life transitions, relationship challenges, identity exploration, shame, burnout, spiritual emergence, and the patterns that leave them feeling disconnected from themselves and others.
Together, we explore what is asking for attention, healing, or expression- gently working with the nervous system while making space for curiosity, meaning, and growth.
I believe healing unfolds when we feel safe enough to listen- to our bodies, our emotions, our relationships, and the deeper wisdom beneath the surface of everyday life.
My approach is trauma-informed, relational, and deeply collaborative. Rather than pushing for insight or change before the nervous system is ready, I honor pacing, consent, and each person’s unique capacity for growth. Together, we create a space where healing can emerge organically rather than being forced.
Our work is grounded in the body. Through somatic awareness, breath, movement, and nervous system regulation, we cultivate greater capacity to be with ourselves and our experiences. As regulation grows, so does the ability to meet life’s challenges with greater presence, flexibility, and choice.
Along the way, we may explore nervous system regulation, boundary work, parts work, shame work, and integration- helping you understand protective patterns, strengthen your relationship with yourself, and create lasting change that is felt not only intellectually, but throughout your whole being.
My role is not to fix you, but to walk alongside you as you reconnect with your own resilience, inner wisdom, and capacity for transformation.
My work is informed by several complementary traditions that share a common belief: healing is both deeply personal and profoundly relational.
With a foundation in Adlerian psychology, I view each person as inherently capable, purposeful, and worthy of belonging. This perspective reminds us that growth happens through encouragement, connection, and discovering the strengths that already exist within us.
I also draw from Jungian and psychodynamic perspectives, exploring the unconscious patterns, symbolic meaning, dreams, and early experiences that continue to shape our lives. Whether we’re integrating a psychedelic experience, making sense of recurring relational dynamics, or exploring inner imagery, I believe healing is enriched by both insight and imagination.
Together, these influences create an approach that is embodied, relational, curious, and grounded in respect for your lived experience.
My offerings are for those who feel called to understand themselves more deeply and cultivate a more authentic relationship with themselves, others, and the world around them.
I believe healing work should be consent based, relational, and deeply respectful.
I honor both the emotional and practical aspects of change- helping clients feel profoundly seen while also supporting real-world integration. My work values depth, creativity, and symbolism, while remaining rooted in discernment, ethics, and care.
This is not a one-size-fits-all process, but a co-created journey centered on what matters most to you.
“Trauma is not, will not, and never can be fully healed until we also address the essential role played by the body.”
— Peter Levine
My deep love for this work has taken me across the globe, where I’ve had the privilege of learning from and alongside a variety of healing traditions.
Through these experiences, I formed an ongoing partnership with Eldema LeTap Academy in Kenya, a school I continue to support by donating a portion of my proceeds to their mission. This partnership reflects my commitment to ethical, reciprocal, and community-centered care beyond the therapy room.
Althea Somatic Therapy brings somatic, body-based healing into the modern world.
I believe meaningful change is possible, accessible, and deeply powerful. My work is rooted in holistic approaches that support emotional and physical well-being, empowering individuals to reconnect with their bodies, build resilience, and move toward lasting transformation.
